Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager and / or Quantity Surveyor to join our Tampa construction management team, supporting cost services across a portfolio of real estate projects, with potential exposure to other sectors. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration. Responsibilities :

• Manage cost services across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through close-out.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies, vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and appointment processes.
• Support the development of cost plans, budgets, and estimates for real estate and other sector projects.
• Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts, and budget tracking documents.
• Assess payment applications and change orders, and provide recommendations to clients.
• Monitor invoicing and ensure accurate financial documentation.
• Assist in benchmarking project performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in final accounting, post-contract audits, and close-out processes.
• Contribute to post-project reviews and documentation of lessons learned.
• Prepare and maintain cost management tools such as Bid Analysis Sheets, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment on cost-related matters.
• Support financial reporting for internal and client-facing presentations.
• Help maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking tools.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications for cost analysis.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
