Manager of Emergency Room (RN) Location :

  • Independence, MO Employment Type : Full-Time, Evenings (Mon–Fri, 4 : 00 PM – 12 : 00 AM, rotating call every 3 weeks) Compensation : $53.12 – $61.99 / hr (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus : $25,000 with 2-year commitment (paid in increments) Relocation Assistance : Case by case Overview We are seeking a dynamic Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead a high-volume Level II Trauma Center in Independence, MO.
  • This department manages 64 beds, sees approximately 63,000 patients annually (180 average daily), and treats a high-acuity mix, including Level I trauma cases.
  • The ER Manager will oversee paramedics, secretaries, and techs, ensuring smooth operations, clinical excellence, and a culture of teamwork.
  • Responsibilities Provide leadership and management of daily Emergency Room operations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff performance across the ER team.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, and scheduling to maintain productivity and quality goals.
  • Support staff development through orientation, training, and continuing education.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote patient-centered care.

Qualifications Required :

  • Current RN license (Missouri or Compact).
  • Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Emergency Department experience as a Charge RN.
  • Strong leadership and critical decision-making skills.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire.
  • ENPC within 1 year of hire.
  • TNCC within 1 year of hire.
  • Preferred :

  • BSN or higher degree in Nursing.
  • Prior manager or supervisor experience in a high-volume ER.
  • Compensation & Benefits Salary :

  • $53.12 – $61.99 / hr (DOE). $25,000 sign-on bonus with 2-year commitment.
