- Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct funeral and memorial services that honor each familys traditions and wishes
- Prepare the deceased for viewing, including embalming, dressing, cosmetizing, and casketing
- Arrange and conduct funeral or memorial ceremonies with compassion and attention to detail
- Assist families in selecting caskets, urns, flowers, and other funeral merchandise
- Handle required paperwork and legal documentation, including death certificates and permits
- Provide emotional support and professional guidance to families throughout the process
- Flexible Schedule with transfer staff available.
- Qualifications & Skills
- PA Licensed Funeral Director
- Prior experience in funeral directing or embalming
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and proper post-mortem care
- Ability to perform occasional lifting
- Experience with event coordination and attention to detail
- Compassionate, dependable, and eager to contribute to a supportive team environment
