About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Profession : Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty : Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days Monday - Friday

Hours per Shift : 0615 - 1445, with On Call starting at 1500-0630 for 3 weeknights / week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in same day surgery, pre / post operative care, operating room, and / or post-anesthesia care unit.

License : Current Iowa RN License

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Experience in operating room and post-anesthesia care unit
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years

Description :

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients.

You will apply the nursing process throughout your daily responsibilities.

You will work with an average of 10-15 cases per day in a 4-bed operating room suite.

You will be required to work during winter holidays and are limited to one day request off during the holiday season.

Call is expected for three weeknights per week as well as one weekend every fourth or fifth week, including holiday rotation.

This position requires strong teamwork and communication skills to ensure patient safety and excellent care.
