Location : Onsite - Huntington Beach, CA
Pay Range : $120,000 - $140,000 per year (Exempt)

Position Summary :
The Finance Manager will serve as the operational leader of the Finance Department, overseeing both the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams. This role ensures financial integrity, operational excellence, and strategic insight across the organization.
As a key business partner to the CFO and executive leadership, the Finance Manager will drive accurate reporting, forecasting, and compliance, lead process improvement initiatives, manage banking and landlord relations, and champion innovative AI-driven financial solutions to optimize efficiency and decision-making.
Job Responsibilities :
Department Leadership
Lead and manage both Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and performance.Develop team capabilities through mentorship, clear objectives, and continuous improvement.Foster collaboration across Finance, Operations, HR, IT, and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and cross-functional success.Financial Reporting & Analysis
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.Collect, interpret, and communicate key financial data to provide leadership with visibility into business performance and financial health.Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, dashboards, and KPIs for corporate and store-level performance.Strategic Planning & Growth
Develop the financial well-being of the organization through strategic projections, growth planning, and data-driven recommendations.Partner with the CFO on long-term financial strategy, including expansion modeling, investment analysis, and capital planning.Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems to maximize return on financial assets and improve decision-making.Process Improvement & Internal Controls
Drive process innovation across Finance, integrating AI initiatives and automation tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls and compliance frameworks.Oversee and confirm financial status by conducting internal audits and coordinating with external auditors.Treasury, Banking, and Lease Management
Manage banking relationships, liquidity, and investment strategies to maximize return and minimize risk on cash balances.Oversee landlord and lease relations, including financial reviews, rent compliance, and negotiation support for store development and renewals.Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations.Study existing and emerging legislation, anticipate future requirements, and advise management on actions to maintain compliance.Prepare and file all necessary financial and legal reports on time and accurately.Budgeting & Forecasting
Attain company budget objectives by developing and maintaining annual and quarterly budgets, tracking performance, and implementing corrective actions where needed.Establish schedules, collect and consolidate data, and recommend plans to sustain and grow profitability.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Store Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and HR to support the launch and financial success of new programs, products, and initiatives.Lead or support ad-hoc projects, providing financial insights and execution support as needed.Requirements and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven ability to oversee both accounting and FP&A functions within a multi-unit or retail / hospitality environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or equivalent tools.Familiarity with AI-based analytics or automation tools a strong plus.7 Leaves Cafe Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
