About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.

License : Current RN Licensure required.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

• Epic experience preferred.
• Ability to provide holistic and individualized care.
• Capacity to manage a patient ratio of 4 : 1.

Description :

The position involves caring for patients of all ages and diagnoses in a 34-bed Emergency Department.

This is a semi-stroke receiving center with no trauma experience required.

Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.

The role encompasses direct patient care, patient / family education, and transitions of care in an acute setting.

Candidates should be able to provide individualized and holistic care to patients within the assigned area.

Nurses will be responsible for various emergency medical situations and patient conditions.

Skills relevant include managing abdominal pain, asthma, and respiratory infections.

The role also involves working with patients experiencing acute psychosis and seizures, among other conditions.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and social services is essential.

The candidate must be comfortable utilizing emergency medications and performing procedural sedation.

Mental health and behavioral conditions will also be part of the nursing responsibilities.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support patients and their families.
