The Experience Design Studio at Arrowstreet is looking for a technically proficient, rendering-savvy designer to join our dynamic team. Our teams strength comes from diverse expertise in signage and wayfinding, graphic design, illustration, fine arts, and architecture. We are looking for a creative collaborator who is passionate about design, visualization, and technical detailing. This position requires a solid understanding of signage and wayfinding principals, and the ability to develop compelling renderings and animated walk-throughs. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and eager to continuously learn new skills and explore new technologies.

Responsibilities

Design and development of environmental graphic design and wayfinding projects

Collaborate with team members and consultants on projects of varying scales and complexity

Support and participate in client presentations and project meetings

Produce high-quality 2D / 3D renderings, animations, AR / VR experiences, diagrams, maps, illustrations for projects, proposals, and interviews

Research and test new visualization tools, and technologies to expand studio capabilities

Translate design concepts into detailed, accurate, and buildable documentation for signage and environmental graphics

Balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality

Approach each project with curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to exceptional work

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in graphic design, architecture, or similar field

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, and accountability

Ability to think broadly about design while maintaining attention to detail

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

A strong design sensibility with attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)

Create high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations

Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques

Technical proficiency in developing and detailing signage and environmental graphics

Familiarity with ADA standards and the signage approvals process

Additional skills not required on Day 1

Revit and Rhino for modeling and documentation

Real-time rendering and visualization tools such as Enscape, TwinMotion, or similar

Interest in AR / VR technologies for immersive design presentations

Experience developing animations and animated walk-throughs of spaces
