SUMMARY
Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory lead will support the Company’s needs through various activities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy through a robust cycle count process, continuous training of users, and transaction audits. This role demands the incumbent to create optimal pick fronts based on velocity, ensure locations and products are properly tagged and license plated, and return stock to correct location due to returns or misallocations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying and responding to inventory-related problems, while working with the appropriate departments to resolve issues
- Ensuring computer records reflect current information regarding inventory, location and inventory balances
- Providing leadership to Inventory personnel, and working with the Inventory Supervisor to establish and evaluate the daily work load, and assign tasks as required to staff members
- Investigate and reports variance to supervisor
- Assist with space utilization and availability
- Set-up new pick locations and validate UOM accuracy
- Participate in all scheduled physical inventories on schedules dictated by the client
- Perform regular cycle counts
- Working with the Inventory Supervisor to establish procedure and monitor the disposal of damaged / obsolete inventory to minimize financial loss to the company
- Demonstrated respect for the Company’s values daily, maintain and uphold all policies & procedures
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as required
EXPERIENCE
Experience in inventory control using a Warehouse Management System preferredAble to operate various office equipment, (e.g., personal computer, telephone, copier, etc.)Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teamsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisionsAbility to make sound decisions independently to obtain desired resultsDemonstrated employee engagement skillsProven ability to deal tactfully with customers, managers, and employeesMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesCOMPETENCIES
