The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a dedicated Clinician Scientist Onco-Psychologist to join a dynamic team of physicians, psychologists, and allied health professionals. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will be a mid-career or senior academic clinician scientist (Associate Professor or Professor) with demonstrated interest in research and behavioral interventions.
This psychologist position offers the opportunity to collaborate with the University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) and the Center for Survivorship and Patient-Oriented Research (CSPOR). The role will primarily focus on research, with at least 75% of the effort dedicated to clinical and translational research. The remaining time will be allocated to clinical care and educational activities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in clinical care, a strong track record of innovative and productive research, to include leading the development of multidisciplinary, grant-funded behavioral interventions targeting cancer survivors and caregivers, as well as potential or proven success in securing extramural funding, and a passion for graduate and medical education.
