Store Manager in Training (SMIT) is a development focused role crafted to prepare an individual to manage their own store. Under the leadership of a Store Manager or District Manager, this hands-on program will teach the skills and knowledge needed to operate a store, drive for results, and develop and lead a team.

What You'll Do
This is a Full-Time Hourly Supervisory Position
- As a SMIT, you will receive growth opportunities and training to prepare you for promotion from SMIT to Store Manager.
- You will lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers.
- With a Store Manager or District Manager, you will oversee daily store operations, business performance, and product management.
- Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting the "Live Well" message to customers.
- Engage with leadership in training initiatives, projects, and goals to support your path to promotion.
- Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
- Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping team members realize their sales potential.
- Build strong teams, provide ongoing feedback, recruit, hire, and manage performance.
- Open, close, and operate the store, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits according to procedures.
- Attend community events to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.
Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position. At the end of 90 days, performance will be assessed to determine eligibility for promotion, considering factors such as performance, openings, and willingness to relocate if required.
Environmental Factors & Working Schedule
Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting; above and below waist.Repetitive hand-to-finger motions and arm movements.Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 40 pounds. Push / pull up to 20 lbs.Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, especially in stock areas.Use of a computer up to 60% of the day.SMITs are expected to work five (5) days / forty (40) hours per week and follow scheduling requirements by location.Scheduling may include nights, weekends, holidays, and location-specific requirements.Specific shifts and hours are determined by the store and business needs.Benefits & Compensation

Compensation
