Project Manager
This role involves managing projects from concept to completion, focusing on scope evaluation, estimate development, project planning, and successful execution. The position is tailored for power generation projects across the US and Canada, including power plants and hydro plants. As a project manager, you will liaise with clients to interpret their needs, clarify expectations, and communicate updates to the Proposal Development and Operation teams.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requests for quotation (RFQs) and project scopes, developing equipment and resource plans, budgets, and executing turnkey projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Conduct site walk-downs, review RFQ opportunities, and play an integral role in proposal development.
- Coordinate and monitor submission information and approvals within the company and with clients or subcontractors.
- Manage and document all project activities, including scope of work, schedules, budgets, change orders, and technical specifications.
- Oversee project close-out processes, including reconciliation activities, lessons learned, and final reports.
- Collaborate with functional teams to define project scope, cost, and schedule, establish baselines, manage risks, and monitor project performance.
- Provide leadership for project management administrative staff, including communication, training, and performance feedback.
- Cultivate and maintain good relations with clients, owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other company personnel.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred (or equivalent).5-7 years of project management knowledge in the power generation services or industrial electrical industry.3+ years of experience as an onsite construction project manager with project P&L responsibility.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong financial acumen.Knowledge in medium voltage electrical bus duct systems and transformer components preferred.Experience managing union personnel.Proficiency with O365 and willingness to learn MS Project.Ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.Work Environment
This position involves substantial travel, with an estimated 60-75% time spent on-site at project locations, averaging 2-8 weeks per job, with some extending up to 6-9 months. The role requires comfort with irregular schedules, including midnight to noon shifts during outages. The work schedule is variable, based on project demands, and includes responding to calls on a company cell phone, unless pre-approved time off is arranged. Confidentiality, professionalism, financial acumen, and safety leadership are critical for this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.00 / hr.
