Our client is a globally active institution in the education sector with expanding operations in the United States. As part of a strategic growth initiative, they are building a lean and agile finance function to support multiple nonprofit entities. Job Description

Oversee finance operations across nonprofit and foundation entities

Manage accounts payable, expense processing, and banking

Own general ledger and month-end close processes

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards

Coordinate U.S. tax filings and annual audits with external advisors

Liaise with global finance teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A)

Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)

Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning

Develop scalable processes, policies, and internal controls

The Successful Applicant

Has 5+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience, ideally in nonprofit or higher education

Demonstrates strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit tax compliance

Is highly proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP) and advanced Excel

Works independently, manages competing priorities, and thrives in a hybrid environment

Communicates effectively across international teams and adapts to a fast-paced setting

Brings an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building scalable systems

Spanish language skills are a plus
