Location : Venice Gastroenterology
Description : We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate
- Gastroenterologist
- to join our well-established and growing single specialty private practice group of four physicians located in Venice, Florida. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders related to the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. The role involves providing both outpatient and inpatient care, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreasPerform endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), and other relevant diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresDevelop comprehensive care plans, including medical, dietary, and surgical treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal diseasesCollaborate with other specialists and primary care physicians to provide continuity of careReview and interpret diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging studies, and lab resultsEducate patients and their families about digestive health, treatment plans, and preventive careMaintain accurate patient records, documenting care provided, diagnostic findings, and treatmentsStay current with medical advancements and updates in gastroenterology by attending conferences, seminars, and professional development activitiesEnsure compliance with all healthcare regulations and best practicesNO HOSPITAL ON CALL REQUIREDParticipate in 1 : 5 call rotation outside of business hours for clinic patient phone callsQualifications :
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institutionBoard certification or eligibility in GastroenterologyERCP / EUS preferred, but not requiredValid state medical license and DEA certificationVisa sponsorship available for qualified candidates, including J-1 waivers, H-1B, or O-1 visasCompletion of a fellowship in GastroenterologyProficiency in performing and interpreting endoscopic proceduresStrong diagnostic skills with a deep understanding of gastrointestinal anatomy and pathologyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentCommitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and empathyKnowledge of EMR systems and ability to document patient records accuratelyWorking Location / Conditions :
