Med / Surg RN Job Details Assignment Length : 13 weeks Location : Cincinnati, Ohio (45219) – Ohio nursing jobs Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit Shift : Night shift, 12-hour shifts Hours per Week : 36 hours Estimated Weekly Salary : $1550 - $1660 per week Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg clinical experience (2 years preferred) Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the time of admission Communicate changes in patient status promptly to the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies and clinical best practices Participate in team-building activities and foster a positive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current in nursing best practices Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse in Cincinnati, Ohio!
