Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of accounting, from start to finish, for 5 to 10 assigned entities or companies.
• Coordinate with the external CPA by providing all necessary documents to facilitate tax returns, estimated tax payments, and any required forms or applications. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations for each assigned entity
• Maintain financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing special reports, including cash flow projections, quarterly cash position reports, and summaries of loans and lines of credit.
• Manage general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable and control accounts, processing adjustments for amortizations and prepaids, analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable, and preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
• Ensure accuracy by posting adjusting journal entries, safeguarding financial information through confidentiality, maintaining accounting controls by adhering to checks and balances and policies, developing new procedures as needed, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
