From the first whistle to the last scan, you’ll keep materials moving so our production lines never miss a beat. As a Material Flow Technician, your work ensures the right parts arrive at the right place, at the right time—safely and accurately.
A Day in the Life
- Begin your shift by inspecting your forklift to confirm all safety systems are functioning before use.
- Pick and stage orders, moving materials with a hand truck or a Powered Tow Motor to support active lines.
- Operate a forklift with care across the facility, protecting people, inventory, and equipment.
- Handle components to prevent damage from pickup through delivery.
- Use scanning to record receipts, issues to lines, returns, and bar code location updates in real time.
- Verify counts and product descriptions for items received, shipped, or transferred within the plant.
- Respond to production requests by delivering parts and subassemblies exactly when needed.
What You Bring
Familiarity with pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies is helpful, but not required—we’ll train the right person.About Reading Truck
