Key Responsibilities :

Billing :

Prepare and process accurate client invoices in accordance with attorney instructions and client guidelines.

Review pre-bills, make edits, and finalize invoices using legal billing software.

Ensure time entries are correctly recorded and compliant with client billing terms.

Submit electronic invoices through e-billing portals.

Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies or client disputes promptly and professionally.

Maintain organized billing records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Collections :

Track and manage accounts receivable; follow up with clients regarding outstanding balances.

Send collection notices and engage in direct communication with clients to resolve payment issues.

Coordinate with attorneys on high-priority or delinquent accounts.

Process payments, apply them to client accounts, and reconcile records regularly.

Generate aging reports and provide regular updates to firm leadership on collection status.

Compliance & Reporting :

Ensure billing and collection practices comply with firm policies, ethical standards, and client agreements.

Maintain and update client billing profiles and contact information.

Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.

Provide support during financial audits or internal reviews as needed.

Requirements : Qualifications :

2-4 years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in a legal or professional services setting.

Familiarity with legal billing software and e-billing platforms is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
