Security Officer - Logistics Screener

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a secure and welcoming atmosphere within a logistics and distribution environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also interact with staff and visitors, delivering excellent customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Assist with access control by screening individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry points and verify credentials, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted into designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding any unusual activity or potential concerns.
  • Complete documentation and reports related to security-related activities, incidents, and visitor logs as required by site policies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel or authorities as outlined by Allied Universal protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
