Description :

This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse with a specialty in ambulatory care.

The nurse will be responsible for pre-operative and phase 2 nursing duties.

No on-call requirements are associated with this position.

The unit features a total of 20 beds and operates with a staffing ratio of 3 : 1.

A typical day shift staff includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 pre-operative nurses, and 3-4 post-operative nurses.

There are no night shift requirements.

Required skills include current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred candidates will have experience with orthopedic, neuro, GU, ENT, and gynecological procedures.

A team player is the ideal personality fit for this busy unit.

Dress code requires the wearing of blue scrubs.

Additional information regarding unit policies and guidelines may be provided upon request.

The unit is equipped with glucometers, GE monitors, incentive spirometers, and utilizes EMR Meditech for patient records.
