Neighborhood Services Manager

Commerce City is excited to announce an internal opportunity for a Neighborhood Services Manager. This role provides vision and direction for neighborhood programs and services, including oversight of Code Enforcement, Community Development Block Grants, neighborhood beautification, and other community initiatives that make a lasting impact. The Neighborhood Services Manager works closely with residents, community groups, and city leadership to strengthen neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life. Hiring salary is dependent upon experience. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 / Annually. Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited university with a degree in Public Administration, Public Relations, Project Management, Community Services or related field with a minimum of four years of experience managing Community Development programs. Possession or the ability to obtain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record within 30 days from date of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Process Overview :

Apply Today : We ask that you complete and submit an online application AND INCLUDE A RESUME AND COVER LETTER, which will be used to screen for minimum qualifications (MQs) and determine starting pay in accordance with the provision of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Qualification Review : HR will screen applications for minimum qualifications after the posting closes.

Application Review : Applications for candidates that meet minimum qualifications will be forwarded to the hiring manager, who will review and evaluate application materials.

Interview(s) : We aim to schedule interviews with candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the application review.

  • Eligibility for Pay Increases : Employees are eligible for a pay increase during their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation. Pay increases do not come at the time of the six-month introductory evaluation.
  • Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program : To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
  • Recreation Center Membership : Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
  • Golf Course Green Fees : Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
