Phlebotomist - Pre-Admission Testing - 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm

As an ECB PAT Phlebotomist you will work Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm. This position does not come with benefits, but it does have the possibility of becoming full-time in the next few months. The Phlebotomist holds a safety sensitive position and is a competent paraprofessional which assists the registered nurses by assuming responsibility and accountability for direct and indirect patient care. He / she may assist with activities, personal care, comfort measures, maintenance of a safe and clean environment, and certain test / procedures done to a specific patient population under the direction and supervision of an RN. May be asked to assist in covering department secretary duties. Supports the nursing and medical staff in an effort to provide optimum patient outcomes.

• What's required of you? High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy training required. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Do I need experience? Zero to six months prior experience as a Nurse Aide or phlebotomist in a healthcare environment, or completion of a phlebotomist training program preferred.
• Specialty Knowledge Skills : Cognitive, technical and interpersonal skills required to deliver direct and indirect care under the direction of a RN. Cooperation and strong "team" focus required. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current caregiver practices, which are unit / age specific.
