About the Role

We're eager to hire a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering division team! In this senior role, you'll lead the mechanical design of complex HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems for a diverse portfolio including industrial facilities, educational buildings, the commercial sector, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Managing projects from conception through construction.
  • Collaborating with professionals across engineering disciplines and architecture to deliver integrated solutions for clients in industrial, food and beverage, educational, and commercial sectors.
  • Mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Contributing to our business growth through our "Seller-Doer" approach—cultivating client relationships, developing proposals, and participating in marketing initiatives alongside management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ten to fifteen years of previous experience with an emphasis on the design of mechanical facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for various commercial and / or industrial facilities.
  • Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the project development process, including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction.
  • Required Skills

  • Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota, and Iowa.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or Plant 3D.
  • Previous experience working with energy modeling software such as Trane Trace or related.
  • Previous experience with boiler and / or chiller system design for facilities.
  • Previous experience with district heating and cooling, lab ventilation, or fire protection.
  • Hybrid Work Environment
