About the Role
We're eager to hire a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering division team! In this senior role, you'll lead the mechanical design of complex HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems for a diverse portfolio including industrial facilities, educational buildings, the commercial sector, and more.
Responsibilities
- Your responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive technical documentation.
- Ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Managing projects from conception through construction.
- Collaborating with professionals across engineering disciplines and architecture to deliver integrated solutions for clients in industrial, food and beverage, educational, and commercial sectors.
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues.
- Contributing to our business growth through our "Seller-Doer" approach—cultivating client relationships, developing proposals, and participating in marketing initiatives alongside management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university in Mechanical Engineering.Ten to fifteen years of previous experience with an emphasis on the design of mechanical facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for various commercial and / or industrial facilities.Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.Demonstrated working knowledge of the project development process, including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction.Required Skills
Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota, and Iowa.Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or Plant 3D.Previous experience working with energy modeling software such as Trane Trace or related.Previous experience with boiler and / or chiller system design for facilities.Previous experience with district heating and cooling, lab ventilation, or fire protection.Hybrid Work Environment
