Pay :

$19.00 / hr Weekly Pay Benefit Options Available Start ASAP if all qualifications are met Shift : Monday – Friday 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM Job Summary : A mechanic's assistance duties include assisting motor mechanics to replace and repair worn and defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, change oil and filters, perform other routine mechanical tasks, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Test drives vehicles to ensure repairs are properly completed; Updates maintenance and repair logs; Assists with inventory maintenance of replacement parts and equipment; Inspects tools and equipment to ensure that they are in working order; Cleans the shop and returns tools to proper locations; Conducts safety checks on vehicles; Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures; Assists senior technicians in the completion of project work; Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards; Performs minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services; Completes required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times; Assists with service calls for breakdowns; Assists in the repair and adjustment of equipment; Performs other maintenance related work as required.

Qualifications :

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach and move as needed; Exposure to gasoline vapors and other mechanics fluids; High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in heavy equipment or auto repair desirable; Excellent mechanical skills; Ability to multitask and work independently; Must have, or be willing to acquire, a class A driver’s license and must have an insurable driving record; Able to lift up to 50 lbs; Able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed; Must be able to work in the field, as needed, in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold; Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position; Ability to use hand and power tools.
