Your role at Clorox :
The Technical Services Production Services Packaging engineer delivers customer-oriented support and results for Supply Chain in focus areas of packaging materials, new product innovation, cost savings, supply assurance, brand maintenance, packaging sustainability, and finished product quality.

As part of the Technical Services Production Services team, you will be instrumental in different supply chain aspects while executing initiatives to ensure product availability. What you will do
- A motivated self-starter who provides proactive leadership from innovation through production start-ups. Activities may include supplier qualifications, data analysis, problem solving, specification development, manufacturing line trials, design to value innovation, change management, and regulatory compliance adherence.
- Provide direct and influential technical leadership and communications with team resources at different organizational levels in Supply Chain, R&D, and manufacturing.
- Plan and lead small- and medium-sized projects or participate on larger projects as a packaging materials functional expert.
- Influence and coordinate other resources to help solve problems and mitigate risks.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support new ways of working and change management processes.
- Travel and work in manufacturing plants including Clorox facilities, external manufacturing suppliers, and packaging material suppliers as required.
- Lead Production Services Packaging activities and deliverables, including developing plans, performing work, and ensuring proper change management processes and product information are entered in Clorox databases.
- Participate on project teams (leadership if appropriate) to ensure process rigor and adherence to internal and external compliance requirements and standards. Review and ensure technical information is current, accurate, complete, and has gained proper concurrences when appropriate.
- Build strong alliances with internal and external technical, business, suppliers, and consultant leaders. Develop skills and recognition as a key functional resource in packaging material engineering and practices.
- Apply problem-solving skills such as developing hypotheses, designing and executing test plans, and analyzing data. Independently develop conclusions and recommendations.
- Develop and transfer knowledge regarding packaging materials and machine interfaces.
- Support project teams delivering initiatives for the Cleaning Business Unit. Work with managers to develop plans, implement activities, and deliver results.
- Provide proactive and independent leadership to remove or communicate barriers to work completion.
- Foster an environment that drives innovation, collaboration, and a process-oriented culture.
- Identify opportunities to help project teams and internal customers develop new ways of working while performing work.
- Provide packaging materials knowledge and support to Cleaning BU functions such as R&D, Procurement, manufacturing, and commercialization project management.
- Independently lead small to medium-sized projects and collaborate with manufacturing and functional teams using tools such as scope or project plan documents, business-driven recommendations, and presentations.
- Establish action steps, prioritize activities, and ensure risk communications are elevated to the direct manager and other functional leaders.
- Scope includes all US Cleaning product categories and support to ensure adherence to management of change processes. Ensure data accuracy for packaging material and finished product packaging in Clorox databases (e.g., PLM) and maintain process rigor.
- Communicate effectively and influence through oral and written channels. Collaborate to deliver results with other Supply Chain, R&D, and EM Manufacturing resources.
- Travel independently or with team resources; travel is domestic or to Canada if required, approximately 35% of the time.
Workplace type : Hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
What we look for
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Five years of industrial experience in a consumer product company (manufacturing, technical, or R&D). Packaging material experience is preferred.Ability to fluently communicate (oral and written) in English.Strong proactive technical and activity leadership skills including influence, collaboration, and conflict resolution. Ability to work under the direction of their immediate manager.Highly flexible and adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast-paced multitasking environment on multiple projects.Strong interpersonal skills; may be sole representative of Production Services on cross-functional technical project teams.Strong problem-solving, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis skills.Strong oral and written business communication skills.Ability to independently organize workload and manage time effectively.Passion to identify and drive management of change and process rigor.Bachelor of Science in packaging, mechanical, or chemical engineering is preferred.Additional information

We are committed to fair and equitable pay and provide salary ranges aligned to location. Salary ranges are Zone A, Zone B, and Zone C, subject to change. Your recruiter can share the specific range for your location during the hiring process.
– Zone A : $88,700 - $165,900
– Zone B : $81,300 - $152,100
– Zone C : $73,900 - $138,300
All ranges are subject to change. This job is eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to plan terms.
