• Shift :
• 7 : 30AM - 4 : 00PM\n\n\n
• Pay Range : Negotiable\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n
• Administers nursing care plan to assigned individuals.\n
• Administers specified medications, orally or by subcutaneous or\n\nintramuscular injection, and notes time and amount on the\n\nindividuals chart.\n
• Monitors and records vital signs.\n
• Collects laboratory specimens, such as urine, blood and sputum.\n
• Assembles and used such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes,\n\nand oxygen supplies.\n
• Sterilizes equipment and supplies.\n
• Monitors health status of individuals on assigned caseload.\n
• Performs clerical duties and maintains medical records in accordance\n\nwith state, federal and accreditation requirements.\n
• Prepares or examines food for prescribed diets.\n
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe physical environment for\n\nstudents.\n
• Observes individuals and reports adverse reactions to medication or\n\ntreatment to supervisor.\n
• Dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches and provides other treatments\n\nas required.\n
• Ensures all medication orders are promptly and accurately\n\ncommunicated to the pharmacy, to the appropriate sites and to the\n\nstaff administering the medications.\n
• Ensures all prescribed (including over-the-counter) medications are\n\nat the site and are accurately administered.\n
• Accurately completes Medication Administration Record.\n\nQualifications\n
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.\n
• Illinois License required.\n
• One-year experience with medication administration.\n
• Pharmacology certificate.\n
• Prior experience with intellectually and / or physically disabled\n\nindividuals.\n
• Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record required.\n
