Summer Internship Program
The Hanover's Internship Program offers college students the chance to work on various business assignments, test their skills, and align their interests with real job opportunities. Through the 10-week summer program (June mid August), you will :
- Take on meaningful projects and work alongside top talent in the industry
- Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional leaders, managers, subject matter experts, and recent graduates
- Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
- Attend weekly development workshops with your intern peers
- Join in engagement and social activities with other interns

In This Role, You Will :
Demonstrate foundational knowledge of claims handling and develop proficiency in performing standard tasksApply core concepts under supervision while building confidence and expertise in delivering high-quality claim outcomesContribute to a fair, timely, and efficient resolution process, supporting the organization's commitment to service excellenceHandle assignments of minimal to moderate complexity within defined limits of authorityExercise discretion and independent judgment in the investigation and resolution of claimsPossess basic functional knowledge and skills acquired through formal study and / or on-the-job developmentAnalyze, evaluate, and negotiate claims of varying complexity, ensuring compliance with policy terms and legal requirementsIdentify potentially suspicious or fraudulent claims and escalate appropriatelyParticipate in a structured training program to support professional developmentCollaborate with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to resolve complex or questionable claimsCore Claims Handling Capabilities :

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferredBachelor's degree required, preferably in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related fieldAbility to commit to a full-time 10-week internship programAbility to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the futureAbility to collaborate with peers to ensure processes are efficientStrong verbal and written communication skillsCritical thinking / problem solving skills and analytical mindsetExcellent time management and multitasking skills
