Are you looking for a hands-on, stable career in manufacturing? Our client, a leader in food production, is hiring Manufacturing Specialists to join their Sanitation Department. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity where you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment that meets the highest food safety standards.
We’re looking for dependable, team-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and want to grow in the food manufacturing industry.
Job Title : Sanitation Specialist
Location : Richmond, VA
Pay : $15 / hour
Schedule : Monday – Saturday, as needed for Production
Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 6 : 30 PM (Overtime as needed for production)
Afternoon Shift : 2 : 00 PM – 10 : 30 PM (Rotating schedule)
What You’ll Do :
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate sanitation and cleaning documentation according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform housekeeping tasks in restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning.
- Safely handle and apply industrial cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
- Work in warm, wet environments while operating sanitation and dishwashing equipment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP plans, SSOPs, and SQF standards.
- Report any food safety or maintenance concerns to your supervisor.
- Contribute to a safe, accident-free workplace by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
