Louisiana State Penitentiary (LSP) is the state's only Class 1A facility and the only correctional facility providing custody and control of adult male inmates who have been sentenced to death.

Serves as a supervisor and key Lieutenant.

Job Duties :

• Incumbent will assist the Chief of Security in supervision of the unit management system of security by performing highly responsible supervisory and administrative security work in the organization, coordination, and direction of security.
• Duties involve responsibility for assisting in the planning of security procedures and regulations for the care, custody and control of inmates.
• Supervise all security functions and security staff. Required to have extensive knowledge of mandatory security posts, department regulations and penitentiary directives
• Address all complaints or problems from the inmates and take corrective action if necessary or guide them to the appropriate staff for resolution.
• Work with adult male inmates of all custody levels minimum, medium, maximum (death row) and protective custody.
• Will supervise maximum-security inmates and lower-level security officers.
