Travel Pipefitter Position - Per Diem

Qualifications
- 3 or more years as a marine, commercial nuclear, or petro / chem Pipefitter.
- Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
- Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.
- Knowledge in installing pipe hangers and reading a ruler using inches and tenths.
- Capability to use grinders for cleaning and cutting pipes.
- Experience in fabricating details and assemblies from drawings.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret ship piping drawings.Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.End prep piping by hand or with a machine.Install pipe hangers accurately.Read a ruler using inches and tenths.Prep and fit-up backing rings.Clean cut / break pipe with a grinder.Hand prep V bevels effectively.Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings.Bend pipe from a template and use a hand bender.Fit welded sockets and brazed joints with or without inserts.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Newport News, VA.
