We're seeking a self-motivated professional to join our team as an Associate Statistical Reporting Analyst. Partners with experienced team members to review data to ensure output meets expectations and reconciles with general ledger and other sources. Assists in completing data filings for, and requests from, states and independent bureaus. Assists in documenting queries and works closely with team members to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Works with team members and IT, learns how to assist with development, maintenance, and testing of data systems.

This position will be located at our Home Office in Stevens Point, WI and is not a remote opportunity.

For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.

What You'll Do

Gains understanding on how information flows within our systems to create simple to moderate queries, ensuring output meets expected results. Partners with an experienced team member to reconcile results with general ledger and other sources; research anomalies. Assists in completing data filings required by states and independent bureaus. Assists in responding to questions from external customers and performing additional research.

Assists with development, maintenance and testing of data systems. Learns how to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality problems while working with team members and IT.

Learns business unit process and how data is compiled.

Learns how to provide clear, concise requirements, test cases, and user acceptance criteria when working with IT. Assists in prioritizing work for IT team.

Learns how to decipher and apply regulatory bulletins, insurance manual rates, rules, and forms and how they relate to company rating procedures. Assists with requirement changes and collaborates with business units to ensure compliance with statistical requirements.

Learns and assists to document procedures to ensure data integrity and adherence to compliance guidelines. Assists in collaborating with Corporate Underwriting, Compliance, and Legal regarding interpretations of filing changes to ensure accuracy of submissions.

Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external contacts to ensure proper handling of agency inquires and to partner with Corporate Underwriting, Products, and IT on implementing adjustments to internal process and data flows.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned from time to time

What it Takes

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in math, statistics, business, or IT related field.

Basic understanding of reporting and analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, and VBA beneficial

Exposure to IT technologies, concepts, and terminology desirable

Strong written and verbal skills including analytical and research ability

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, self-motivated and organized team player
