Bartender

TAKODA Restaurant & Beer Garden is looking to hire a few part-time Bartenders. TAKODA brings a vibrant and easygoing drinking, dining, and entertainment experience to the Shaw neighborhood. Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

Computer literacy

Knowledge of a second language is a plus

Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

Compensation :   We pay our tipped hourly employees $10 / HR plus tips in accordance with DC law. With tips our employees average in the $20-$30 / HR range. With the right staff we only see this increasing!

Job Types : Part-time / Full-time

Salary : $10 per hour plus tips!!!
