Florida Licensed Medical Coding Director

A company is looking for a Director of Medical Coding.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of medical coding operations across multiple specialties

Develop and implement coding policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Manage daily operations of the coding department and resolve coding-related denials to optimize reimbursement

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)

RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent coding certification required

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in medical coding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and regulatory compliance

Experience with EMR / EHR systems and coding software
