Reports To : Corporate Compliance Officer
Physical Requirements : Normal Office Environment
Hours of Work : Full Time, 37.5 hours / wk. Other hours as needed.
Pay Range : The pay range is $27.95 to $38.03
Job Summary : Complete investigations of reported incidents and accidents, which often involves sensitive matters, throughout the agency in a confidential, fair, consistent and thorough manner. Ensure thorough and accurate completion of written incident investigation reports in a timely manner. Develop plans for preventing and managing incidents, recommend agency responses and interface with regulators and law enforcement.
Job Qualifications :
- High School Diploma / GED is required.
- Associates / Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- 5 years' of relevant experience preferably in an investigation role is required.
- Excellent administrative skills and knowledge of regulations and investigation techniques.
- Ability to support our internal customers by analyzing data to identify patterns and trends, best practices and aid in operationalizing this information.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong writing, communication and analytical skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Valid NYS Driver's License is required.
Major Responsibilities :
Perform all duties necessary to fully conduct and document investigations of incidents occurring within the agency while maintaining compliance with agency policy and regulatory bodies (OPWDD, Justice Center).Organize and manage investigations caseload. Effectively coordinate incident and investigation activities with OPWDD Compliance Officers, OPWDD Incident Management staff and the Justice Center.File, monitor and close all cases to OPWDD and the Justice Center.File required corrective action plans (CAPs) with state regulatory agencies.Work cooperatively with department staff in a team environment as well as the relevant regulatory agencies.Present cases to Operations, Human Resources, Supervisor, and Special Review Committee as required.Maintain a consistent, high quality, professional, service recipient focused orientation when conducting business.Maintain an impartial and professional attitude while conducting investigations, interacting with staff and management, and presenting cases.Maintain the Incident Tracking Spreadsheet.Maintain knowledge of current regulations and operations of regulatory agency to recommend changes in investigative process and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences as offered by the state, NYSARC and other community partners. Applies pertinent new knowledge to the job.Serve as a key support in regulatory interpretation with agency staff and leadership.Participate in agency committees as assigned.Assist the Corporate Compliance Officer with other projects as assigned.
