Esper is looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to help drive this mission forward.
Job Description :
Reporting to the VP Product, this role is the only designer on the Product and Design team, thus having a lot of responsibility and visibility. Most recently we have been working with a design agency, but we hope by bringing design in-house we will achieve a closer exchange between design and the other areas of our business, and ultimately deliver an improved experience for our customers.
What you'll do :
Identify design problems and create elegant solutions
Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations
Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions, while ensuring a consistent user experience across all touchpoints
Collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams to understand technical and business requirements and ensure the design is feasible.
Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and best practices
Collaborate with engineering to create and maintain a design system in a system like Storybook.
Be an expert in creating accessible designs to meet regulatory requirements
What we're looking for :
6+ years of experience in Enterprise SaaS UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and process.
Strong design strategy focused on data-heavy SaaS platforms and ecosystems
Qualitative research experience with customers
Strong critical and design thinking skills focused on workflow-based products
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and identify / prioritize problems to be tackled based on project needs and timelines
Understanding of design systems and component-based design
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and working with developers and product managers
An eye for visual design but a focus on process flow, information architecture, and micro-interactions.
