We serve all WI tribes by providing administration of grant-funded programs either directly or with sub grants. Programs serve a range of functions from Children to Elders. Administrative Assistant – Vocational Rehabilitation for Native Americans (VRNA) Ashland, Wisconsin Office
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant duties for this position include data entry, answering phones, assisting counselors and consumers, and maintaining paper and electronic files for the Vocational Rehabilitation for Native Americans program. This is a full-time position in a busy office. Regularly scheduled attendance and dependability are essential job functions in this position.

This is a full-time hourly position located in our Bad River office, Ashland, WI. This is not a remote position. Occasional travel is required. The salary for this position is $18.00-$19.00 per hour, dependent upon experience, with a full benefits package. There will be occasional travel to attend off-site staff meetings or training sessions. This position requires bending and lifting 15-20 pounds. A background check is required before hire.
Qualifications : Any equivalent combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent Education; an associate degree in administrative assistance preferred. Previous administrative experience strongly preferred. Experience with a Native American Tribal organization and / or not-for-profit agency desirable. Individuals must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor and appearance; problem solving skills; ability to manage time effectively; self-motivation skills; work effectively under pressure; ability to build positive work relationships with internal and external customers; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people. Individuals must be able to follow routine instructions and apply logic in the solving of various computer-related issues. Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). You must possess a valid driver’s license and / or reliable transportation with adequate insurance and ability to travel.
