Who we are looking for :
We are currently looking for a Quality Technician to be based out of Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for driving operational compliance to customer and regulatory compliance. Works cross-functionally to effectively install methods to prevent shipping defective products to end customer.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What you'll do :
- Perform product inspections according to design specifications, using various types of measurement equipment and techniques.
- Familiarize with regulatory requirements and design specifications as well as able to train cross functional team, to ensure compliance.
- Verify production report and quality self-check information by Operators to ensure compliance to relevant requirements.
- Perform and monitor Statistical Process Controls (SPC) on key characteristics as defined by customers and internal leadership teams.
- Initiate non-conformance reports (NCR) on all parts and assemblies that are not to specification and ensure affected material are being quarantined, as well as dispositioned in a timely manner.
- Train new operators on basic quality requirement and common quality defects.
- Maintain job files for production run data, first piece approvals, quality alerts and completed non-conforming reports.
- Calibrate gauging and maintain calibration records for gauges and other equipment.
- Perform daily audit at all manufacturing location to ensure compliance to all committed corrective actions and required standards.
- Participate in creating and maintaining a neat, organized, and safe work environment consistent with company standards.

What you'll bring :
Minimum of an associate degree in relevant technical courses.3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge on measurement method and utilizing various measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, height gauges, and custom fixtures.Familiar with problem solving tools such as 8D, fishbone, 5 why, is / is not etc.Good understanding and ability to read / interpret technical drawings.Familiar with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T) methodology.Understand and able to implement Statistical Process Controls (SPC) as well as analyze the results to recommend the next course of actions.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).Strong communication skills both written and verbally.Experienced in leading small cross-functional team especially during problem solving discussions.Within 3 months, you'll :
