The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office (KCPAO) is looking for highly motivated individual to join our team as a Paralegal I . The Paralegal 1 provides full clerical support for a group of Prosecuting Attorneys in the Litigation Section of the Civil Division and performs a vital role in the work of the Department. The Paralegal 1 also works closely with the Paralegal 2 to prepare lawsuits for litigation; this can include assisting with electronic discovery document review and trial preparation. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently; strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of clients and County staff; analytical and critical thinking skills to make decisions and initiate action; time management skills to effectively and accurately handle multiple tasks within often short deadlines; and the ability to handle emergency situations and work under pressure. Strong computer skills using Advanced MS Word, Adobe Pro, Outlook and Excel required. Working knowledge of Legal Files desirable. Civil litigation experience is required. Interest in and knowledge of personal injury, employment, and environmental litigation highly desirable. This is a Special Duty assignment funded by the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office through April 2025.

Range 49- $33.3565 (step one) - $42.2814 (step ten) Hourly
