• Pay Rate : Rate may vary due to local or non-local contracted rates : $60-$65 / hr combined Rate of pay. (Pay packages are a combination of taxable hourly rates, tax freeallowances for travel, housing, and meal allowances) (Rates are subject to change via client need)

• Rates are subject to change via client BEHAVIORAL HEALTH REGISTERED NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION :
• Patient assessment : Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations, including taking medical histories, performing psychological assessments, and identifying potential risks for self-harm or violence.
• Medication management : Administering prescribed psychiatric medications, monitoring for side effects, and educating patients on proper medication usage.
• Individual therapy : Providing individual counseling sessions to patients, utilizing therapeutic techniques to address mental health issues and promote coping mechanisms.
• Crisis intervention : Responding to immediate mental health crises, de-escalating situations, and providing necessary support during emergencies.
• Care planning : Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, including goals, interventions, and discharge planning.
• Collaboration : Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals like psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care providers to coordinate patient care.
• Patient education : Providing education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
• Documentation : Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, including clinical assessments, treatment plans, medication administration, and progress notes. Required qualifications for a Behavioral Health RN : Registered Nurse license : A valid RN license from the state of practice. Psychiatric nursing certification : May be required depending on the position and state regulations. Education : Graduation from an accredited nursing program with additional training in psychiatric nursing. Clinical experience : Prior experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions is often preferred. Work settings for a Behavioral Health RN can include : Inpatient psychiatric hospitals : Providing care to patients requiring intensive mental health treatment. Outpatient mental health clinics : Offering therapy and medication management to individuals with less severe mental health needs. Community health centers : Providing mental health services to underserved populations. Substance abuse treatment centers : Supporting individuals struggling with addiction.
