Commercial Solar / Electrical Superintendent – Field Leadership Role

Location : Albuquerque, NM (Extensive Travel Required)

Are you a driven leader with strong electrical or construction experience? Can you motivate a team, enforce accountability, and ensure deadlines are met—no matter what? Are you the type who gives and receives feedback with the goal of constant improvement?

OE Solar is seeking an experienced, hands-on Commercial Solar Superintendent to lead field crews on commercial-scale solar projects throughout New Mexico and beyond. This is a critical leadership role that requires sharp technical skills, team management, and the ability to think two steps ahead on complex job sites.

What You'll Do :

  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, site plans, and technical documentation.
  • Lead and supervise installation teams on commercial solar projects.
  • Plan for upcoming phases by coordinating labor, tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Operate and train others on heavy machinery.
  • Monitor and enforce job site safety protocols (OSHA compliance).
  • Address personnel issues and report them to HR as needed.
  • Maintain high accountability and performance standards across your crews.

What You Bring :

  • Strong background in electrical or commercial construction (solar preferred).
  • OSHA 30 Certification (required).
  • EE98J License preferred (or NABCEP Certification as an alternative).
  • GB98 is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics with ease.
  • Read and interpret full electrical plan sets, site layouts and construction drawings, to include erecting steel, racking systems, grading, grubbing, SWPP etc.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work full-time in a field-based role.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.
