Personal Protection Officer / Executive Protection Specialist
Stillwater is seeking highly skilled Executive Protection Specialists / Personal Protection Officers to support protective operations for high-profile individuals and sensitive assets. This role involves armed and unarmed security functions, close protection, secure transportation, and rapid response in both static and mobile environments. Ideal candidates will bring a strong background in military, law enforcement, or high-risk security operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform day-to-day personal protective security duties for principals and VIP clients
- Serve as a driver in lead, follow, or principal's vehicle during motorcade or convoy operations
- Provide both armed and unarmed executive protection services
- Enforce access control at secure locations or during mobile movements
- Carry and operate authorized firearms in accordance with post and mission requirements
- Participate in advance security planning and reconnaissance
- Monitor and report suspicious or unusual activity
- Man static security posts or surveillance positions when required
- Serve as part of a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) team
- Respond swiftly to emergency or security-related incidents
- Maintain detailed knowledge of security protocols and operational procedures
- Perform other protective duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent ResidentMinimum age : 21 yearsValid U.S. driver's license and U.S. tourist passportActive security clearance preferred (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, or equivalent); candidates without clearance may still be considered.High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 3 years of verifiable protective security experience, or equivalent U.S. military / law enforcement service (DD-214 required if applicable)TCCC certification required (minimum); EMT certification preferredExperience in high-risk protective roles (e.g., bodyguard, convoy / movement ops, or designated armed security)Must meet all medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards for the roleValid Social Security Number and eligibility to work in the U.S.Ability to obtain / maintain applicable personnel security clearances and licensesFirearms training and certification in line with state and federal standardsFluent in English : verbal, reading, and written communicationDemonstrated weapons proficiency and ability to qualify with assigned firearmsAbility to pass :Background checkDrug screeningPre-employment physical examMRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) suitability, if requiredPreferred Qualifications :
Military or law enforcement experience in a full-duty role (resigned or retired in good standing)Prior experience in executive protection, close personal security, or diplomatic protectionFamiliarity with securing fixed facilities, high-profile events, or vehicle-based movementsExperience operating as part of a tactical or mobile security teamCompletion of protective driving or evasive driving coursesPrivate sector PSD or EP training State Department or WPS equivalent preferred if no State Department, DOD, or Law Enforcement protection trainingPhysical Requirements :
Must be capable of heavy physical activity and quick response in high-stress situationsCapable of standing for extended periods (up to 12 hours), climbing stairs, and navigating uneven terrainAdequate visual and auditory acuity for identifying threats and using firearms / equipmentMay be required to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators and body armourMust pass physical fitness evaluations aligned with job demandsTravel may be required domestically or internationallyWorking Conditions :
