Business Development Manager to spearhead the introduction of a new ultrasonic flow meter into targeted market segments. The initial targeted market segments are Biopharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical. Working with Sales and Engineering, the role of the Business Development manager is to :
- Develop the sales channel both direct to end-users and to on-board new channel partners
- Champion the product both internally and externally to the organization
- Drive sales at key accounts
- Identify key applications within targeted end-markets
- Provide hands on technical customer support
- Develop marketing collateral and drive the promotional strategy
- Understand and communicate the competitive landscape
- Continue to develop the differentiation and value proposition
- Identify product line enhancements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage key accountsAcquire & develop new customers / key accountsDrive sales growthDevelop and implement strategic and tactical plansIdentify and penetrate new market segments & applicationsProvide monthly sales forecastsCommunicate macro market trendsBe accountable for delivering the agreed-upon budget / plan sales / order numberDevelop marketing collateral. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Technical DegreeProcess control or Instrumentation experienceDeep understanding of the Biopharmaceutical or Semiconductor manufacturing processesKnowledge of key original equipment manufacturer (OEMs) supporting target industriesProven key account management track recordSuccessful track record in developing new market segmentsKnowledge and experience of other industrial markets : Chemical, Food & Beverage, Water and Waste, Agriculture, Automotive, Oil & Gas is a plusExperience with managing and building a distribution channelMBA an advantage / desirable5 - 7 years sales / marketing experience
