Reckitt, formally Mead Johnson Nutrition, a major manufacturer or baby formula, is looking to add to their Analytical Lab team.

  • Located in Zeeland, MI and staffed through Manpower.

This is a 2nd shift position, working 4 - 10 hours shifts, 4pm to 2am.

Pay Rate : $26.25 / hr

Position is responsible for independent real-time physical properties, analytical chemistry, and in-process testing to support release of finished products and in-process materials.  Follow established methods, utilize approved laboratory techniques, investigate nonconformities, and ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner.  Possess a working knowledge of group operations and laboratory information management systems.  Position is responsible for coordinating the testing of materials to meet release schedule.  Perform investigations and instrument / method optimization to support individual work assignments.  Ensure all laboratory records are maintained in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.  Organizational skills of laboratory space are a must.  Understand and support safe work practices and procedures.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in science or technical subject preferred.
  • Physical properties laboratory testing and / or Organoleptic / Sensory testing experience strongly preferred.
  • Instrumentation experience with ICP-OES / ICP-MS, GC, NIR, and HPLC / UPLC / HPIC desired.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills desired.
  • Quality Control experience within the food manufacturing environment is desired, broad understanding of powder infant formula product is a plus.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment is preferred.
  • Laboratory workspace skills and management needed.
  • Applicant must have excellent communication to outside departments.
  • Must possess good documentation practices (GLP’s) and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) understanding.
  • Strong computer skills (GLIMS, Optiva, SAP, MS Office, or equivalents)
  • Candidate should have experience and knowledge of laboratory operations, calibration and maintenance of various lab equipment or similar types of equipment.
