Description : Job Summary :
To provide education to patients and staff. To consult with physicians and nursing staff on a 24 hour basis regarding care of patients on dialysis. To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose. This job profile may require call subject to the department's discretion.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Employees must be able to discern color differences for water testing. Knowledge of hemodialysis and CRRT. Verbal and written communications skills. Interpersonal skills.

Requires constant exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, frequent handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, constant exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and / or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal / clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional climbing, frequent crouching / stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, constant pushing / pulling, constant reaching, occasional sitting, constant standing, occasional twisting, and constant walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
Requirements :
Education and Experience : Must be licensed as RN for one (1) year. Two (2) years of RN experience in specified area preferred. BSN preferred.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required : Valid RN license
