Purpose :

A Funds Administrator maintains the organization of Title IV Campus-Based funding, such as Federal Work-Study, as required by the Department of Education for The Los Angeles Film School.  This is an in-person, on-campus position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation) :

  • Works independently and provides regular status updates to management regarding the progress and growth of the campus-based funds programs
  • Creates and processes internal / external scholarship batches as well as FSEOG batches
  • Will be expected to create a collaborative environment with community organizations by calls as well as visiting these organizations off-campus
  • Federal work-study communication with students
  • Maintaining compliance with federal regulations, following institutional policies and procedures, and ability to interact with integrity and professionalism

Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned

Other Responsibilities :

Adhere to policies and procedures of The Los Angeles Film School

Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information

Adhere to company attendance standards

Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None
  • Competencies | Knowledge | Skills | Abilities :

    Excellent analytical skills

    Excellent verbal and communication skills

    Detail oriented; accuracy of utmost importance

    COD experience, a plus

    Strong working knowledge of Department of Education rules and regulations

    Education | Experience :

    2 years of experience working in financial aid

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is highly recommended, but not required
  • Certificates | Licenses | Registrations :

    None

    Computer Skills :

  • Strong proficiency with PC and Mac (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Preferably experience working in CampusVue and Anthology database
  • Environmental Factors (are those that are required and performed with or without an accommodation) :

  • Reliable transportation
  • Work is performed in an office environment on campus at The Los Angeles Film School
  • Minimal travel to organizations near The Los Angeles Film School to create a working relationship for more federal work-study students to work
  • Must be able to work normal business hours 8 : 30am-5 : 30pm; some overtime and weekends may be required.
  • Physical Demands (are those that are required and performed with or without an accommodation) :

  • May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds

  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
