About the Role
We are seeking a Manager of Engineering to lead our Transmission Line Group based in either our Tampa or Orlando office. In this role, you will oversee a team of engineers delivering high-quality and cost-effective transmission line engineering solutions to utility clients. You will be responsible for the growth and performance of your team, as well as actively contribute to business development efforts and long-term strategic planning.
This is a full-time, onsite leadership role—ideal for a Professional Engineer with a strong background in transmission line design and engineering management, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop regional transmission line engineering teams to ensure performance and professional growth.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure project delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Support business development efforts within your region, helping to expand client relationships and project opportunities.
- Uphold and promote the company's core values, brand promise, and code of conduct.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that fosters learning and growth.
- Interface with clients to maintain and grow relationships, ensure satisfaction, and support project execution.
- Guide and approve engineering deliverables, quality assurance processes, and compliance with standards.
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives, including strategic planning, process improvement, and innovation in tools or technologies.
- Develop, track, and evaluate relevant performance metrics for teams, projects, and client satisfaction.
- Provide mentorship and thought leadership to the broader engineering team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (required)Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)15+ years of engineering experience in transmission line design (consulting or utility background) (required)Deep understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget managementKnowledge of industry-standard engineering tools, methodologies, and regulatory practicesAbility to identify, recommend, and implement process or structural improvements in engineering operationsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong leadership qualities and a collaborative mindsetComfortable in a client-facing role, with proven relationship-building skillsDemonstrated ability to innovate and apply creative engineering solutionsMust pass drug screening, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record per company policyWhy Join Us?
