As a key leader, you will direct and oversee all aspects of production scope, contracts, estimating, project management, scheduling, quality control, safety, customer service, and accounts receivable / payable for our standard concrete products. You will manage and mentor a team of 3–5 Project Managers and collaborate closely with the Plant Manager.
Travel requirements are minimal—less than 10%—and always within a manageable in-state radius.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities :
- Manage, evaluate, and coach 3–5 Project Managers, identifying training needs and opportunities for professional growth.
- Attend project meetings on site or remotely from the office.
- Prepare accurate and timely project estimates that maximize our ability to win and successfully execute work.
- Partner with the Plant Manager to develop efficient production schedules aligned with project needs and available resources.
- Manage the quality control department to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to ensure safety policies and procedures exceed industry standards.
- Review project contracts, specifications, and insurance certificates; escalate any concerns to the General Manager.
- Monitor material and labor charges to support proper progress billing on both standard and custom projects.
- Oversee payables, verifying material costs align with estimates before submission for approval.
- Conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary and status adjustments in partnership with the General Manager.
- Handle additional assignments as requested by leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field .Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry .Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical specifications, cost analyses, and regulatory requirements.Excellent written communication skills for creating procedures, business correspondence, and technical reports.Confident and clear presenter capable of engaging employees, management, and clients.Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents related to building projects.Benefits
