Overview

Electrical Supervisor for High Voltage Equipment

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and installers to wire and pressure rise High Voltage GIS equipment. Interpret and analyze technical drawings to understand installation process and procedure. Maintain a safe and clean installation environment following Siemens Energy installation guidelines to ensure high quality standards. Precise wiring and pressure rising of High Voltage GIS equipment requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Demonstrate cooperation and fulfill tasks as assigned by a supervisor or team leader.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • The Electrical Supervisor leads all aspects of the installation and testing of High Voltage GIS equipment.
  • Manage union contractor resources, motivate and direct people, and identify the best personnel for the job.
  • Follow wiring / installation processes, procedures, timelines and schedules.
  • Evaluate and decide on wiring / installation procedures, weighing relative costs and benefits to select the most suitable action.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; 3–5 years of equivalent experience accepted.
  • Training or experience interpreting technical drawings.
  • Prior supervisory experience in electrical or technical environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in the electrical field, including use of tools and measurement equipment.
  • Strong partnership orientation with the ability to follow structured processes and direction.
  • Proficient in English with proven technical vocabulary and clear written / verbal communication.
  • Hard-working with demonstrated ability to learn independently and adapt quickly.
  • Comfortable integrating into established teams and workflows.
  • The position can be based anywhere in the US; travel 80–90% across North America.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
