MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FLEET SERVICES)

Position will be open until filled.

We are currently seeking :

A Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will repair and adjust City vehicles and equipment, and assist mechanics as available.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Performing preventive maintenance on City vehicles and equipment including passenger vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, and light duty equipment.
• Installing accessories as needed on City equipment.
• Checking and / or replacing batteries, fluids, and lubes on equipment and vehicles.
• Performing safety inspections on City vehicles.
• Completing job orders according to work performed.
• Maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe working environment.
• Assisting mechanics with maintenance and repair projects.
• Utilizing proper safety precautions in all work performed; recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries.

Requirements and Skills :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience :

High School diploma or equivalent; and one year of experience in vehicle maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
