Junior Programmer / Analyst

Project Overview

This role supports the implementation of a new Court Case Management System (CCMS) . The initiative focuses on modernizing the court's technology infrastructure to enhance efficiency, operational effectiveness, and accessibility to justice. As the project evolves through phases like system configuration, data migration, integration, and testing, the Junior Programmer / Analyst will provide technical support to ensure accurate and timely execution of project tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing, testing, and deploying CCMS-related components, interfaces, and reports.

Support data migration through scripting, data validation, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with business analysts and senior developers to convert functional requirements into technical tasks.

Participate in system configuration, workflow setup, and user role management.

Maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides.

Conduct unit and integration testing; log and track defects.

Provide technical support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-go-live stabilization.

Assist in the development of dashboards, queries, and reports for court operations.

Stay current with CCMS updates and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Skills Required

Basic proficiency in programming languages : SQL, Java, C, or Python .

Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle , and strong querying capabilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Experience with APIs, XML / JSON , and data integration tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Experience with version control systems (, Git ) and issue tracking tools (, Azure, JIRA ).

Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with court systems, legal applications , or government IT projects.

Exposure to case management systems (, Tyler Odyssey, Journal Technologies).

Familiarity with APIs, XML / JSON , and integration tools.

Work Environment

Hybrid work model : On-site presence required during key phases of the project.

Occasional travel to other locations may be required for support or training.
