Overview
This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Douglas Station, located in Douglas, AZ. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies and for additional divisions / units within the duty location(s).
Duties
This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally. Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level with 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, including :
This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement : Specialized Experience in law enforcement or related work demonstrating ability to make arrests, exercise sound judgment with firearms, interact professionally, analyze information rapidly, and establish informant networks.

Language Requirement : Must be proficient in Spanish (speak and read).
Firearms Requirement : Must meet initial and continuing firearms qualifications. Certain disqualifying conditions apply as listed in the posting.
